- Samantha and Ryan’s Beach maternity Photo Session | Bunbury Southwest Maternity Photographer September 27, 2016
Samantha and Ryan were anticipating the arrival of baby number 2 and chose the volcanic rocks of the back beach of Bunbury. Together with Noah (2) they made for one gorgeous, photogenic family. Even though Ryan did not enjoy one bit of it :).
How fitting for Samantha to wear baby blue with the arrival of a baby Brother for Noah.
It was a cool Winter’s evening but Samantha was a trooper and scaled the rocks better than myself.
I love capturing pregnancies on this coast line as there is nothing else like it in the Southwest and a with the evening we had it made a dramatic backdrop.
It was such a fun evening and we were looking forward to capturing the two boys together during their newborn session.
- Taylor’s Newborn Photo Session | Bunbury Southwest Newborn Photographer September 23, 2016
Welcome to the world Taylor. 10 days new and so teeny tiny.
Mum and Dad had a rough night the night before arriving at the studio so I take my hats of to them. And for that matter to all my clients making it in for a photo session just 7 to 10 days from giving birth. I don’t think I was out of my pyjamas by that time after giving birth to my children.
Taylor was pretty in pink and I am in love with Mum and Dad’s images of her in their arms. This shows just how tiny she was and love that they of course were still looking amazing, even after the party Taylor threw for them keeping them up all night.
Congratulations guys and enjoy.
- Laura and Matt’s Beach Maternity Photo Session | Bunbury Southwest Maternity Photographer September 23, 2016
Well if you were thinking not to bother to capture your pregnancy Im hoping that once you see this session you’ll change your mind.
Laura and Matt chose a beach session and given the weather we knew Laura was going to have to brave the cool Winter sunset to capture it.
Laura’s little bundle had broken a rib so we opted for the smooth sandy beach of Dalyellup to ensure there was no danger for Laura on the volcanic rocks of Bunbury’s back beach.
I knew the lingering clouds were going to make an amazing backdrop for this maternity session and of course it delivered. There was so much variety in their session (and a wardrobe change) it was difficult to keep this post short.
Laura looked amazing and was so brave. I think you’ll agree that it was worth it for these memories.
I’ll be sharing Laura and Matt’s little bundle soon.
- Declan’s First Birthday Photo Shoot | Bunbury Southwest September 21, 2016
I captured Declan 12 months ago as a newborn in the studio and it was great to see the little man he has become.
We were so lucky with the evening we got. Even though it was still cool the sun was beaming and due to the massive amounts of rain we have had this Spring this particular field has never been so lush.
We enjoyed a little play not far from their family home in Australind and captured Declan, Mum and Dad. Check out Dad’s crazy tricks which Declan loves and acted as a guarantee to put a smile on his face.
The family was captured as part of the mini family session which is offered to previous clients of Maternal Moments Photography.
Cannot wait to capture this family again maybe some time soon.
- Baby Bodhi on day 15 | Bunbury Southwest Newborn baby photographer June 23, 2016
A baby photo session with Bodhi
As promised here is Calin and Jye’s little man’s newborn photo session which was amazing. Arriving into this world a little earlier than expected and following a hospital stay he is now an amazing healthy little boy who they named Bodhi.
Following Mum and Dad’s maternity session along side the river, Bodhi’s newborn session was all about soft teal (thanks for a special gifted blanket) and the love of the wood grain.
He did so well and provided a stress free photo session for Mum and Dad. But as Mum and Dad are taking parenthood so well I did not expect much less.
During his session Bodhi transitioned easily from one pose to the next and was asleep the whole time. It may have been contributed to his stay in hospital with the consistent touching of him by the nurses that turned him into posing putty in my hands.
Congratulations to Mum and Dad on Bodhi and thank you for sharing your journey to parenthood with me.
PS. Baby safety is paramount and a lot of my images are composite images with Dad’s hands being used to support Bodhi in the potato sack pose as well as in the bucket.
