  • The Pritchard Family | Bunbury Southwest Family Photographer November 15, 2016

I love photographing this family.  This is the third family session I have done with them and I think Kell and Alana are the most fun parents.  Kell was unfortunate to miss the first two sessions (maybe lucky for him) but we finally got him amongst his girls and showed him what it was all about.

Alana has a great eye for colours and material (amazing sewer/patterns from Rosie Petal) and I always love seeing what combinations she puts the girls in for their family sessions.  Once again she did not disappoint!

We were given an amazing Summer’s evening and the girls know how to turn it on for the camera and I think that may have been assisted by their Mum’s love to capture them in her latest creations and I’ll also say yearly photo sessions for the past three may have helped too.

What games am I going to have to come up with next.  They are all turning into beautiful girls and I love seeing them grow.

  • Candece’s Family Session | Bunbury South West Family Photographer November 9, 2016

So Candece is starting her fight.  A fight as a healthy, busy Mum of two never thought she would face.  A fight against Cancer.

Her strength and story are amazing.  I have been following her on her private Facebook page, set up for her concerned friends and family to keep up to date and allow Candece to say it once.

In my own simple explanation of her story, Candece had a routine Pap Smear.  Pre-Cancerous cells were found and she was advised to come back in 12 months.  Well 12 months was too long and a tumour had developed.  The tumour was found to be Cancerous and that is when her world changed forever.

The journey, even though it has just started, has been a long one.  With her never ending appointments, her ongoing learnings, being prodded and pocked and finally the start of her treatment.

We wanted to capture Candece with her family before treatment and together with Lani, from Envy the Beauty Specialists, we ensured it was a day of pampering and fussing.

Candece, together with her girls Tahlia and Georgia had their hair and makeup done in the comfort of their home and I popped in to say hi and meet the family, including hubby Chris, before the photo session.

It was a breezy evening but we knew it was now or never.  Candece had decided earlier on that when her treatment was going to start she was going to cut her long, thick hair in preparation for hair loss.

So given it all the story above and the mixed emotions for everyone, the images tell a beautiful story.  Even though we all know her strength and family together are going to kick Cancer’s butt.  It was nice to have some time out just to be a crazy family having a crazy family photo shoot.

  • Aryan on day 14 | Bunbury South West Newborn Photographer October 16, 2016

    Newborn Photographer, Bunbury.

Following his parent’s beautiful maternity session, baby Aryan came to have his very first photo shoot on day 14 in this world.  He was a sleepy little teddy bear and had the most amazing hair and lips.

Neeraj and Deepti are besotted and I just love his name.  It was their desire to have a traditional name but for it to be used also in Australia without any problems with spelling or having to convert it to another.  I think they did amazing.

With grandparents over from India Aryan is already so loved and will be spending this quality time with them before they need to return.

Congratulations Neeraj and Deepti.  He is gorgeous!

  • Deepti and Neeraj Maternity Photo Shoot | Bunbury South West Maternity Photographer October 14, 2016

A Bunbury, Winter Pregnancy Photo shoot.

Deepti and Neeraj were expecting their first born.  Deepti contacted me to book in a maternity photo shoot including studio and outdoor, and capturing the beauty of our Bunbury Back Beach.

We started in the studio and then ventured outdoors.  Deepti chose some beautiful gowns (and colourful) to wear courtesy of Maternal Moments Photography.

With family back in India this was an amazing time to capture for the couple both working and living in Australia and wanting to remember every detail.

Deepti looked amazing and had her hair and makeup professionally down to ensure she felt and looked amazing.

She was wearing her pregnancy well and Neeraj looked on adoringly.

We arrived at the beach on a rather cool, windy evening but Deepti braved the weather and looked amazing.  I think you will all agree.

Following this maternity session I could not wait to meet their new addition!

  • Bodhi on day 9 | Bunbury South West Newborn Photographer September 30, 2016

Nadine and Dean of Vasse had been planning and preparing for their newborn photo shoot for some time.  Nadine had booked in early and was a dream client to deal with.

Baby Bodhi did decide to come a little early and she was a teeny tiny little package weighing just 2.2kg.

They were both taking parenthood well and arrived right on time given their 40 minute car ride to Maternal Moments.  I was impressed.  They had had a pretty stressful night prior to their session and I think that helped as Bodhi had worn herself out and slept well for us all.

Check out her amazing little heart shaped birth mark she has on her bicep!  It was the cutest.

Congratulations guys on your gorgeous baby girl.
