- Jack and Archie at 8 days | Bunbury Southwest Newborn Photographer May 21, 2014
How amazing are twins?! They cease to amaze me and what amazes me even more are their parents.
Monique and Mark were gifted with a Maternal Moments Photography newborn session by Monique’s Sister (she must be THE best Sister). When organising the session without Monique or Mark’s input we were a little hesitant about when to schedule it, but after a little discussion we planed for the day before the twins actual due date as a guide. I then contacted Monique and Mark a week before their session to introduce myself (and to find out how she was progressing). Well what do you know she had had them the day before and we were on track to keep the initial session. So I was then gifted with two amazing 8 day old boys, Jack and Archie.
Jack was born at 8:15pm, 2 minutes before little Brother Archie, who was also 150 grams smaller. They were perfect.
They were so good and settled so well into each pose.
Thank you Monique, Mark and Celeste (THE best Sister) on allowing me to share a moment with these little guys.

- Danielle at 33 weeks | Bunbury Southwest Maternity Photographer May 15, 2014
Danielle and Corey chose the beach to capture their first pregnancy together at 33 weeks. So we headed to my favourite, the backbeach of Bunbury on this beautiful, cloudy, calm evening.
We started with some couple shots on the sand and I had spoken to Danielle about braving the water and getting maybe the bottom of her dress wet. She was all for it and had no problem. But as Corey led us to a rocky edge which he had chosen for a wave shot (sorry Corey, I’m blaming you) I was a little apprehensive how close they were to the edge.
Just as I had lined up the shot I heard a roar from the ocean and as I captured a series of shots a huge wave crashed onto the rocks and of course on to Corey and Danielle. I have included this shot where the wave is actually mid air about to come down and Corey and Danielle look so beautiful, smiling away. So this is how this session naturally turned from maybe getting the bottom of the dress wet to Danielle having a seat in a rock pool. Corey joined in too which made for some dramatic shots which I am in love with to this day.
Thanks guys for living in the moment and having fun with the session.
Good luck with baby #1.
- Mia at 13 days | Bunbury Southwest Newborn Photographer May 1, 2014
Beautiful Mia arrived on the 29th March and is Rachael and Graham’s, much loved, first born.
She was so beautiful throughout the whole session and would even throw a smile out just as I had put down the camera. Testing my speed I think.
We captured her so peaceful and she definitely gave Mum and Dad plenty of shots to choose from. She finally gave me a smile while I had my camera in hand capturing a family pic. Check it out she is so adorable.
Thanks for sharing her with Maternal Moments guys, she is gorgeous.
- Jack at 18 months | Bunbury Southwest Family Photographer April 29, 2014
Well I cannot believe that it has been 14 months since I last saw Jack, his two older siblings and his Mum and Dad. This session was a special day, Jack had the studio all to himself!
Mum wanted to capture Jack at 18 months, as she had done with her first two children, and I had the privilege to meet them again.
As you can see from the comparison photo of Jack when I captured him that time ago, he is no longer a baby!
He loved having the stage to himself and we got some beautiful shots of him for his Mum and Dad to cherish forever … even stole my Hubby’s watermelon to add some colour and fun into the session.
- Chloe at 35 weeks Maternity Session | Bunbury Southwest Maternity Photographer April 21, 2014
Chloe was our lucky Luxury Maternity Session winner in 2013 and we organised to capture her when she reached her 35th week.
I am not sure whats in the water these days but all my pregnant, soon-to-be Mummas look amazing and Chloe was glowing. Not sure if this was the beautiful makeup by Lani, from Envy The Beauty Specialists who visited the studio and was the competition partner, or the baby making this happen. I say a healthy combination of both!
Chloe chose a combination of indoor and outdoor for her maternity session. So we captured her in the studio and then ventured outdoors for the final stage of her session. It was a breezy evening but the colours of Chloe’s dress and the location worked so well together, as you will see from the shots.
Good luck to Chloe and partner Craig on the pending birth of your first baby. Cannot wait to meet him or her very soon!
