- Mia Ann at 11 days | Bunbury Southwest Newborn Photographer June 18, 2014
Mia Ann’s Mum contacted me for a newborn session when Mia was 10 days old and what do you know I had just received news of a late baby so had the next day session available. It was like I was meant to capture Mia and her beautiful smiles all along.
Heidi and Matthew welcomed Mia on the 18th May. She would not stop smiling throughout the whole session and was so contented in each pose we set her up with. She was a pleasure to capture.
- Isla, Lilly and Grace | Bunbury Southwest Family Photographer June 16, 2014
These three girls are gorgeous! Mum, Alana, allowed me to test out my teepee with them dressed beautifully thanks to Mum’s sewing passion and business, Rosie Petals.
This family’s year will be 2014 as 2013 was a tough one with Grace being diagnosed with cancer. The full year she was in treatment in Perth with the family sharing their time and efforts getting Grace through her treatment. She was so close to being home for Christmas but made it back by February 2014. Her hair is growing back and is a soft as a babies. She is energetic and tough which she would have to be to handle her two younger siblings. Grace is 8, Lilly is 7 and Isla is 5.
So what a better reason to venture to a field on a crisp Winter’s evening and let the girls go crazy, oh and capture it. It was pretty sludgey at the location so I don’t think those boots they wore will be allowed back in the house. But I think after this session they would have slept very well, and I suspect Mum would have too!
This was a great chance to prove that even during Winter you can still venture outdoors and capture some amazing golden light.

- Roman Alexander at 10 days | Bunbury Southwest Newborn Photographer June 9, 2014
Newborn Roman arrived 17 days before his due date so I expected a little man but Roman was soooo tiny he melted my heart.
Roman has relatives in New Zealand so Mum and Dad bought along their All Blacks flag which we incorporated into the session. Roman insisted on having his hands out for the shot but I still love his tiny little bundle captured on top of the flag.
We had a great session and Roman even shared a couple of smiles for the camera.
Congrats guys on your new addition.
- Jack and Archie at 8 days | Bunbury Southwest Newborn Photographer May 21, 2014
How amazing are twins?! They cease to amaze me and what amazes me even more are their parents.
Monique and Mark were gifted with a Maternal Moments Photography newborn session by Monique’s Sister (she must be THE best Sister). When organising the session without Monique or Mark’s input we were a little hesitant about when to schedule it, but after a little discussion we planed for the day before the twins actual due date as a guide. I then contacted Monique and Mark a week before their session to introduce myself (and to find out how she was progressing). Well what do you know she had had them the day before and we were on track to keep the initial session. So I was then gifted with two amazing 8 day old boys, Jack and Archie.
Jack was born at 8:15pm, 2 minutes before little Brother Archie, who was also 150 grams smaller. They were perfect.
They were so good and settled so well into each pose.
Thank you Monique, Mark and Celeste (THE best Sister) on allowing me to share a moment with these little guys.

- Danielle at 33 weeks | Bunbury Southwest Maternity Photographer May 15, 2014
Danielle and Corey chose the beach to capture their first pregnancy together at 33 weeks. So we headed to my favourite, the backbeach of Bunbury on this beautiful, cloudy, calm evening.
We started with some couple shots on the sand and I had spoken to Danielle about braving the water and getting maybe the bottom of her dress wet. She was all for it and had no problem. But as Corey led us to a rocky edge which he had chosen for a wave shot (sorry Corey, I’m blaming you) I was a little apprehensive how close they were to the edge.
Just as I had lined up the shot I heard a roar from the ocean and as I captured a series of shots a huge wave crashed onto the rocks and of course on to Corey and Danielle. I have included this shot where the wave is actually mid air about to come down and Corey and Danielle look so beautiful, smiling away. So this is how this session naturally turned from maybe getting the bottom of the dress wet to Danielle having a seat in a rock pool. Corey joined in too which made for some dramatic shots which I am in love with to this day.
Thanks guys for living in the moment and having fun with the session.
Good luck with baby #1.
